<image:caption>There is more to “being healthy” than just diet and exercise. The best time to address health concerns is often years before a diagnosis is made. Dr. Michopoulos focuses on identifying early warning signs, addressing risk factors proactively, and helping patients make informed decisions that support long-term health, energy, and quality of life. Sometimes the answer is complex. Often, it's surprisingly simple.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Menopausal health advice simplified Women’s health is one of the most understudied and misunderstood areas of medicine. Too many women are told their symptoms are simply stress, aging, or something they should learn to live with. Dr. Michopoulos specializes in helping women navigate perimenopause, menopause, PMOS, metabolic health, and the hormonal changes that can affect energy, weight, sleep, mood, and overall quality of life. The goal isn't simply symptom management. It's helping patients understand what's happening in their bodies and creating a plan that supports both current wellbeing and long-term health.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About - About Dr. Michopoulos</image:title>
<image:caption>Dr. Alexis Michopoulos is a board-certified Family Medicine physician, educator, and Colorado native with more than a decade of experience caring for patients and training future physicians. After completing her undergraduate education at the University of Denver, she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine residency at St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado before practicing full-spectrum Family Medicine in Colorado Springs and Monument. Her passion for patient care and medical education led her into leadership roles within a Colorado Family Medicine Residency Program, where she served as Director of Osteopathic Education, Medical Director, Associate Program Director, and residency faculty physician. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to both exceptional patient care and the education of future physicians. As both a physician and a patient who has personally navigated conditions such as PMOS and thyroid disease, Dr. Michopoulos understands firsthand how frustrating it can be to struggle with symptoms, search for answers, and feel unheard and be dismissed. She founded her practice to create the kind of medical care she believes patients deserve: care that prioritizes listening, critical thinking, education, prevention, and genuine partnership. Rather than rushing through appointments, she takes the time to understand the whole picture: your symptoms, goals, concerns, medical history, lifestyle, and the factors that may be affecting your health. Her clinical interests include hormonal health, menopause and perimenopause, PMOS, metabolic health, disease prevention, and healthy aging. Most importantly, Dr. Michopoulos believes patients deserve to understand their bodies, participate in their healthcare decisions, and receive care that is both evidence-based and individualized.</image:caption>
