Finally a doctor who meets your needs

What connecting with Dr. Michopoulos looks like

1

Tell Me Your Story

Every appointment begins with a conversation.

Before discussing treatments, medications, or lab work, I want to understand you, your symptoms, concerns, goals, medical history, lifestyle, and the things that may have been overlooked along the way.

Whether you're struggling with fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, hormonal symptoms, poor sleep, or simply don't feel like yourself, this is your opportunity to be heard.

2

We Look For Answers

Once I understand the full picture, we will review your medical history, previous testing, current symptoms, and any available records.

Sometimes the answer is complex. Often, it's something surprisingly simple that has been missed or dismissed.

My goal is to identify potential contributors to your symptoms, evaluate risk factors before they become disease, and help you better understand what is happening in your body.

3

Create a Personalized Plan

No two patients are alike, and treatment shouldn't be either.

Together, we'll develop a personalized plan based on your goals, preferences, medical history, and the best available evidence.

Depending on your needs, recommendations may include:

  • Additional testing

  • Hormonal evaluation and treatment

  • Prescription Medication

  • Nutritional support

  • Supplemental/Herbal support

  • Lifestyle modifications

  • Metabolic health interventions

  • Prevention strategies focused on long-term health and longevity

My goal is not only to help you feel better today, but to help protect your future health as well.

You will leave your appointment with a better understanding of your health, clear next steps, and a partner invested in helping you reach your goals.

Patients often describe Dr. Michopoulos as approachable, honest, and refreshingly straightforward. She believes healthcare works best when patients feel comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions, and actively participating in decisions about their care.

“I honestly thought I was just getting older.”

“I was exhausted all the time, couldn't think clearly, was gaining weight, and felt like a completely different person. Every doctor I saw told me my labs were normal. Dr. Michopoulos was the first person who actually listened and looked deeper. Within a few months, I felt better than I had in years.”

FAQs

Is this practice right for me?

If you've been told your labs are "normal" but still don't feel well, are struggling with fatigue, brain fog, weight changes, hormonal symptoms, insulin resistance, or want a more proactive approach to prevention and healthy aging, this practice may be a good fit.

Do I need to be in menopause to work with you?

No. While menopause and perimenopause are areas of focus, many patients seek care for PCOS, metabolic health, fatigue, insulin resistance, thyroid concerns, prevention, and longevity-focused health planning.

Do you prescribe medications?

Yes. When appropriate, medications may be part of a treatment plan. However, treatment recommendations are individualized and may also include nutrition, lifestyle, sleep, exercise, supplementation, or other interventions depending on your goals and needs.

Will you order labs?

Yes. Existing labs are reviewed whenever possible, and additional testing may be recommended when needed to better understand your symptoms or risk factors.

Do you see patients outside Colorado?

At this time, I see patients virtually only in Colorado. If you're located outside Colorado, feel free to reach out — that may change in the future.

Why are you cash-pay?

This allows me to spend more time with patients, focus on individualized care, and make recommendations based on what is best for the patient rather than what insurance companies require or reimburse.

What if I've already seen other doctors?

Many patients come to the practice after feeling frustrated, dismissed, or told that their symptoms are normal despite ongoing symptoms. My goal is to listen, review the full picture, and identify potential contributors that may have been overlooked. While I can't promise answers for every situation, I can promise a thoughtful and thorough evaluation.

Do you focus on prevention?

Absolutely. I believe prevention should begin long before disease develops. Identifying risk factors early and addressing them proactively can help improve quality of life today while reducing the risk of future health concerns.

What does an appointment and follow-up look like?

The initial appointment is a detailed look into your past medical history and current concerns. We will have a long discussion about when things began, what has helped, what hasn’t, what YOU think could be going on, etc. We will then take all of this information and formulate a plan for you and your personal concerns. We discuss what could be going on, how we will narrow down the diagnosis, and what possible treatments could look like. At the first visit, we often order lab testing.

Follow-up visits are 2-4weeks after any testing, medication, supplement, or lifestyle change that is made. Once we find the best formula for you and you are stable on that regimen, visits are ideally only 1-2 times per year or when something changes for you.

All appointments consist of education. It is important that you have the most accurate information to make the best decisions for yourself and your health.
